"Blessed are those who mourn"
The Bereavement Committee, coordinated through the Altar Society, consists of several parish volunteer groups who are occasionally asked to help cook and perhaps serve portions of funeral meals for grieving families whose loved ones are buried through Saint Henry Parish. This is a beautiful ministry of Mercy and Evangelization.
Saint Henry Social Committee has the wonderful task of finding ways to build up the Body of Christ. The Social Committee organizes and oversees parish socials, covered dishes, game days, and of course our Mardi Gras Dance and Children's Festival. We are always looking for people with ideas, enthusiasm, smiling faces and strong backs.
In concert with our Religious Education program, all youths are encouraged to join the Jr. High CYO or the Sr. High CYO. The goal of the CYO is "Youths ministering to youths" with Catholic Christian adult supervision.
Youths attend and participate in parish liturgies, retreats, lock-ins, service projects, and other activities. Networking with the Youth Office of the Diocese of Beaumont and youths from other parishes, members experience the broader experience of the Catholic Church and the Body of Christ.
Saint Henry Parish Pastoral Council is an elected advisory council to the pastor.
