All baptized Catholics living a Christian lifestyle can answer the call to ministries that reflect  their gifts and charisms.  It is our hope that all parishioners will accept their call from God to share their time, talents, and treasures with the Christian community and serve the Body of Christ.

In scheduling lay liturgical ministers, we attempt to match your service with the Mass that you normally attend and with family members who may be serving in our weekend and Holy Day liturgies.

Other parish ministries that are always in need of helpers are also listed here.   If you would like to share in any of these ministries, please contact the Parish Office.

Teacher & Teacher's Aide

Assisting parents in the sharing and teaching the faith to our youth is one of the primary reasons for a parish's existence.  If you would like to assist in this important ministry, please contact our Religious Education Office.  To be a teacher you must know the basics of the Catholic faith and be living a Christian lifestyle.

RCIA  SPONSOR

Every year we have several people who are interested in learning more about  and possibly joining the Catholic Church.  Our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program is aimed at helping these inquirers grow in faith and in the knowledge of the teachings of the Church.  Can you share your time and faith with these inquirers by coming to our weekly RCIA sessions and celebrations, as well as praying for them on their journey of faith.  If you are a confirmed Catholic living a Christian lifestyle, this witnessing opportunity may be your call.

CHARITIES
"When I was hungry, you fed me"

Jesus often reminded his followers the necessity of serving the poor.  Through our special collections and grocery drives, there are a number of ways for parishioners to help those who needing our assistance.

How can you help? Well, we have several Charitable Organizations served by the parish.  Perhaps you can: Aiding parishioners through Saint Vincent DePaul, answering the phones at Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance, sorting and distributing clothes and food at Orange Christian Service, or serving a hot meal at Catholic Charities "Hospitality Center" in Port Arthur.

If you would like to assist in any of these Charities please contact the Parish Office to direct you to the proper people in charge.

Sponsor couples can assist other couples who are about to enter into the Sacrament of Marriage.  If you have a sacramentally valid, joyful and strong Christ based marriage and have been married for ten years or over, this ministry might be the one to which you and your spouse are called.  There is some preparation and training involved and all materials will be provided by the parish.
