Introduction of new member Larry Buckman. Not in attendance for
this meeting, but will now be a member of the Parish Assessment Committee
is Gina Mannino.

It was decided that we nominate chairs for each sub committee so an assignment of responsibilities can be given to specific members of each committee as an individual or a group.

*** Rev Jim: Contact ministerial alliance committee on recommendations
of outside activities of other churches in the area of our community, which
nights they hold certain functions, holding Wednesdays for church related
activities only, etc.
Demographic Sub-Committee - Chairman - Bethanie Penning
Bethanie Penning to develop and mail out the survey to the other
parishes as well as to the parishoners. Bethanie to get a draft to
all of us and then we will get any changes to Bethanie quickly so we can
get it out. Bethanie to send to a handful of parishes that Rev. Jim
selected.
Mission Statement - Chairman - Sam Lucia
Everett Langford presented three variations of mission statements from other committees and the military. The diocesan mission statement appears on the web page.
Each member of the committee needs to come up with a mission statement
on their own and then we will incorporate one for the committee.
Sam Lucia to set up a meeting with Rev. Jim
Look into other organizations in the community and when they hold certain events be it religious, academic or sports related. Sam Lucia to get a listing of activities per campus.
Parish Comparison - Chairman - Diane Findley
Diane Findley spoke with the Diocese of Beaumont. The directory is not yet complete. She will continue to check.
Discussion of alternate nights for CCD program to try to avoid overcrowding, building space. Get a chart of the various parishes contacted with their CCD times, days, etc. to Rev. Jim. on alternative solutions.
Continue to contact other parishes, DRE’s and see how they utilize their facilities.
Miscellaneous
All members of the Assessment Committee received a letter from Dr. Chris Penning, a member of the Parish Council. Jerry Mambretti read the letter to all present. Please note that this letter is meant for the Parish Assessment Committee and is not representative of the Parish.
St. Henry’s Parish is now the 10th largest in the diocese.
For the next parish assessment committee, Sam Lucia will provide the current information regarding BCISD standards:
1. What is the recommended number of students per classroom?
2. What is the dimensions of each classroom?
Jerry Mambretti stated that he will continue to gather information on
the ethnicity of our town. Look at the Chamber of Commerce.
