ST. HENRY PARISH ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE

Introductory meeting held Sunday, February 6, 2000 in the Religious Education Building

Present were:

Overall focus of the meeting was an introduction by Rev. Jim on what the assessment committee is and what our suggestions for the needs of the parish will be.

The three main principles of the committee should include:

1. Sacramental needs of the parish

2. Formation of the parish
    a. Adults
    b. Youth

3. Social needs of the parish

In order to gather the necessary information about St. Henry’s parish needs, the following is needed:

1. Information from other parishes

    a. Diocese
    b. Bulletins
    c. Visitation
    d. Surveys

2. Demographics

    a. Chamber of commerce
    b. Schools
    c. Census
    d. Past surveys
 
 

3. Current Standings of the Parish

    a. Buildings
    b. Land
    c. Existing committees and members

4. Mission Statement
 

Finances were brought up and Rev. Jim stated that they are unlimited at this point in time, but will be evaluated depending upon what the committee assesses.

We elected by majority the following:

Chairman - Jerry Mambretti
Vice Chairman - Everett Langford

Voluntarily - Secretary - Diane Findley

Various committees were formed:
